Who am I?

I have resisted placing my name and any biographic information on the site because the site is not about me. I have come to realize, that many people would like to get a glimpse of me, to understand the site better.

My name is Tom Willett, I grew up in the 60's and fully participated in all the 60's had to offer. In my early 20's I had a religious experience and became a Southern Baptist minister, furthering my education until I had a PhD in Biblical Studies. I was ordained in both the Southern and American Baptist Churches. I fully intended to teach religion at a University, but when I graduated, the conservatives had just ceased power in the SBC and no university would touch me because of my Southern Baptist background. I did some scholarly writing but soon realized I could not make a living this way. Up until a couple of years ago, I continued my ministry by serving as an interim minister for the American Baptist Churches in the area.

When teaching did not work out, I went back to school to study one of my early loves -- computers. I completed the study for a BA in Computer Science but the University (IU) would not give me another BA when I already had a terminal degree. No big deal, I learned what I needed and eventually began programing on my own, mostly Database and Visual Basic, with some OSS web, Pearl and PHP thrown in to keep my sanity. I now have my own Software Company which makes management software for Cosmetology Schools

I am currently spending all my free time building my own house and office on 10 acres of land.

So who am I? I am an ex-hippie, religious, peace loving, old fat bald computer programer.
