My deepest condolences. I wish my words really made a difference. I know they do not. I look at this web site daily. My heart aches each time a new name joins the long list. I wish it was as simple as blaming George Bush. But we all have to remember these wonderful men and women joined the armed services. They did not want to sell Avon door to door. They choice a profession that was door to door on some days but when they opened they may not be greeted in a friendly manner. I will never understand the drive that keeps our service members going. What were they thinking? Why did they go into battle? People trying to kill them. Having to kill others. Why? Then it hit me. That is why I didn't join. But THANK GOD! they did. Because of this special group of people we live in the most free and wonderful place on this earth. I place where we are given the right to bad mouth our President and our Goverment if we do not like what is going on. Hey, we even have been given the right to VOTE to get rid of them! We go to bed not worrying what may happen while we are sleeping. That is until 9/11. That event brought it home to our wonderful country. It gave us all a taste of what others around the world deal with everyday of their lives. Fear! Let us remember that always. Now our eyes have been opened. Let us stay united in this global cause! When we are needed ,to free people who do not even understand what freedom is, we must go. Thank you to each and every soldier/ veteran out there for being that person who really did or does care. Thank you for giving us the right to sit back at home and tell the world what WE think is wrong! When YOU really know what's right. Payton, Wow I couldn't believe it when I heard it. I'm glad that I got the chance to meet you the day before you guys left. You were a good friend of my brother's. You will be missed. I'll make sure Martin drinks that MGD for you on your birthday like he promised. My mom wants to find your family to send them the pictures that we have of you. It's hard to look at those pictures and realize that the man standing there is gone. Especially the \\\\"tough man\\\\" pose. Please look out for my brother and make sure he comes home safe for us, please. See you when I see you!

Your a true hero and angel now. Thank you for giving us my brothers address, if it weren't for you we would have had to wait until he wrote to us to get it. See you when I see you!

Love always, Fig's little sister, Proud Marine Sister!

PS. If your a member of Payton's family, or have any information about his family (i.e. address) please email me at nana04@2die4.com. My family and I would like to send his mother his pictures that we took of him the day before he left to Iraq. Thank You!

Hey George,

Dang, its hard to believe it has been 1 year already that you've been gone. I can tell my brother misses you a lot, even though he doesn't talk about it. And I know your family misses you too. The guys are supposed to head back to Iraq in January sometime. Its going to suck really bad because I won't get a chance to see my brother when they leave. I'll be in bootcamp by that time. But please take care of all of them and make sure they come home safe. Well we miss you and we can't wait to see you again.

Happy Early Birthday!!
I know its not until December 23rd, but I'll be basic at that time.
